Psychological & Neuropsychological Evaluations

More Than a Diagnosis. A Roadmap for Growth.

An evaluation can provide valuable insight when you are struggling to understand why certain challenges persist. Whether concerns involve attention, learning, social communication, emotional functioning, memory, executive functioning, or diagnostic uncertainty, a comprehensive evaluation can help identify the factors contributing to those difficulties.

The goal of an evaluation is not simply to provide a diagnosis. It is to develop a deeper understanding of your strengths and challenges while providing clear, personalized recommendations that support success at home, school, work, and in daily life. By the end of the process, you’ll leave with not only greater clarity, but also a clear roadmap for moving forward with confidence.

Are you wondering whether ADHD might explain some of the difficulties you’ve been experiencing? An ADHD evaluation looks at attention, executive functioning, organization, working memory, and other factors that can affect how you manage everyday responsibilities. The evaluation also considers your developmental and personal history to determine whether ADHD best explains your concerns or whether something else may be contributing.

For those who have always struggled with relationships and being comfortable in their own skin; an autism evaluation explores patterns in social communication, relationships, behavior, sensory experiences, and other characteristics associated with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Assessment also considers the individual’s developmental history and overall functioning rather than relying on a single test or score. The goal is to provide thoughtful diagnostic clarity while helping you better understand your strengths, challenges, and support needs.

When someone is struggling academically despite putting in the effort, understanding why can make a significant difference. A psychoeducational evaluation looks at cognitive abilities, academic skills, attention, memory, and other factors that can influence learning and performance. The results can help identify learning strengths and weaknesses, clarify whether a learning disability or another concern may be contributing to difficulties, and provide recommendations for school accommodations, educational planning, and effective ways to support learning.

Not every question can be answered with a standard evaluation. A comprehensive or custom evaluation is designed around the individual’s particular concerns when there are multiple questions, a complex presentation, or a need for more in-depth diagnostic clarification. Depending on the questions being addressed, the evaluation may examine areas such as attention, learning and memory, processing speed, executive functioning, cognitive abilities, emotional and psychological functioning, personality, or other factors affecting day-to-day functioning. Rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach, the assessment is tailored to the questions that need to be answered. The goal is to develop a clearer understanding of both areas of difficulty and areas of strength and provide practical recommendations based on the individual’s specific needs.

Assessment Fees and Insurance

I am an out-of-network provider and do not bill insurance directly for assessment services. Payment is due according to the assessment agreement, and a superbill can be provided for potential reimbursement through your insurance plan. Coverage for psychological and neuropsychological evaluations varies by carrier and plan, so I encourage you to verify your out-of-network benefits prior to scheduling.
